Hard Sleeping

28 May

All the playground and standing activity is making for some hard sleeping this week.

Sure Footing

27 May

I get a bit more confident every second I stand flat footed. My momma thinks I look like a baby on stilts. A very strong one. But I recognize the faster I can figure out this standing business, the sooner I can run to away from Brother.

Dirty feet. Sprinklers. Stoops. Humid hair. Butterfly sleeves. It must be summer.

Babysitter Brother

27 May

I’m telling you, I have babysitter instincts.

At dinner tonight:

Bess: crying, as mom dangles a spoonful of dinner in front of her face.

Townes: Momma, give Bess some space.

And I was right.

Monday: Even More Play

26 May

Thank you Memorial Day. We just hadn’t played quite enough. So today we cuddled on the couch, made pancakes, ran to the park, played and chased kites in the meadow, played with Vivian at the Sandy Playground, and then had another grill out with Jonah and Isaac.

Sunday: More Play

25 May

More outdoor play and grill out #2 that included a blueberry cobbler on a whim which explains the bath.
